Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

At Martinrea, one of our foundational beliefs is the Golden Rule, which means treating every person the way we would want to be treated, with dignity and respect. We believe diversity and inclusion is critical to our company’s success as it values people and helps to ensure a wide range of perspectives, backgrounds, skills, and experiences. We believe opportunity must be provided equally to all. We stand with our people protecting fundamental human rights and encourage positive change in our society.

our commitment to DEI

Diversity is ingrained in our culture through our Golden Rule, which is why Martinreaā€™s DEI Committee works to promote and advance DEI goals and initiatives across the company. Made up of a motivated group of team members, each of our subcommittees are dedicated to fostering a more diverse and inclusive workplace and ensuring employees feel valued and respected. A DEI steering committee led by our President and CEO, and comprised of various key functional groups, oversees the subcommittees to help ensure DEI is embedded in our culture and progress is made in related initiatives. Several members of our diversity committee are involved with external DEI organizations or councils like CADIA, OESA Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council, and AWAF. Some members have also participated in training to stay up to date with DEI and implement best practices at the company.

This team has provided information and training on DEI; developed quarterly educational articles, shared with all employees; and implemented diversity messaging to be available on all company laptops.
  • Compliance – Helps to ensure the company is in line with all regulations and legal needs related to diversity, equity and inclusion.
